Strategic Priorities

Global Communications has four strategic priorities that guide the work we do. These priorities unite our global network, focus our initiatives, steward resources wisely, and keep us aligned with the mission of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Identity and Mission

Our first priority is telling the story of who we are, where we’ve come from, and where God is leading us. Since the revival fires of 1886 in Cherokee County, North Carolina, our movement has been committed to reconciling the world to Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. From our Appalachian roots to ministry in 135 nations today, we celebrate a vibrant, diverse family of believers—grounded in Scripture and united in faith.

Every day, we are committed to amplifying God’s wonderful works—past and present—to the nations. We will continue equipping our churches to share this story, using the languages of today’s media and technology to reach every possible people group with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is a story worth passing on to future generations, because at its heart it points not to us, but to a faithful God.

Training, Resources, and Development

As we approach year two, our commitment extends beyond telling the story of our Movement—we want to equip congregations to tell their stories as well. Through our priority of Training, Resources, and Development, we aim to empower pastors, leaders, and volunteers with practical communication skills for today’s digital and visual world, from creating graphics and managing social media to producing video and sharing testimonies online.

We also seek to strengthen the worship experience by providing training and resources in areas such as audio, lighting, video, worship ministry, pulpit ministry, and the creative arts. Through workshops, resources, and hands-on support, our goal is to help churches confidently use today’s tools to communicate the gospel, engage their communities, and share the wonderful works of God with every nation.

Flyers, print, and visual identity — helping every local church design communications that reflect its story well.

Capturing testimonies, managing accounts, and sharing stories online with today’s tools and formats.

Elevating the worship experience through better sound and lighting in every sanctuary.

Strengthening worship ministry through music platforms with pratciql resources.

Encouraging creative expression that glorifies God, in every form the congregation brings.

Because when God’s story is told with clarity, creativity, and excellence in worship, lives are transformed.

Evangelism and Outreach

The gospel must be at the heart of everything we do. This priority is about helping churches use every communication tool available to share Christ and reach the lost. We echo the heart of Scripture: Until all have heard, we will continue to equip, encourage, and create avenues for evangelism and outreach, believing that the message of Jesus transforms lives, families, communities and nations. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

Social Media Engagement and the Next Generation

We believe God has placed unique gifts in this generation of young people gifts that look different from prior generations but are just as vital to the mission of the church. Their creativity, digital fluency, and fresh perspective present new opportunities for connection the church cannot ignore.

That’s why this priority is about more than using platforms, it’s about engaging younger generations in the life of the church and inviting their voice, creativity, and innovation into our communications work. By speaking the digital language of today, we create space for them to share Christ in ways that reach their peers and beyond; identifying, celebrating, and releasing the gifts of this generation.

Because when young people are empowered to use their voices for Christ, the church doesn’t just grow, it thrives.
